Upcoming Events:

1. Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center will offer free breast, colorectal and skin cancer screenings on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Nielsen's Pharmacy in Bogalusa, LA.    Free breast, colorectal, skin and prostate screenings will also be offered at Live Well Northshore community event at the Covington Trailhead on October 17, 2026.  

2. Wild About Wellness Council on Aging September 25th at Bogalusa Senior Center. (See flyer below)

3. October 16, 2026:  Open House at the Ness Center.  (See flyer below)

4. October 17, 2026:  Team Capables Fall Fest. (See flyer below)

5. October 23, 2026:  Trunk or Treat at the Ness Center.  (See flyer below)

6. This month’s WPCHS meeting donation beneficiary is the Friends of the Washington Parish Library, an organization that supports our local libraries and their programs. Members who would like to make a voluntary donation may do so through Venmo (@friendsofWPL26). Please see the attached flyer for the donation QR code. All donations are voluntary and greatly appreciated.

7. Pro Bono Project is at 216 Memphis Street in Bogalusa on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month offering legal resources for the community.

8. WPCHS will have its next monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 27, 2026 located at 216 Memphis St. Bogalusa, LA  at 9:30 am.
